TRIBUNJAMBI.COM- Berikut pembahasan kunci jawaban Bahasa Inggris kelas 8 Halaman 38, Kurikulum Merdeka.

Pada bagian ini, tepatnya di Section 1 – Say What You Know, siswa diminta untuk mengamati beberapa gambar terkait perayaan Hari Kemerdekaan.

Kemudian siswa diminta  menjawab dua pertanyaan reflektif tentang pengalaman mereka mengikuti kegiatan seperti lomba, parade, atau upacara bendera.

1. Which events have you participated in?

Answer:
I have participated in various exciting events to celebrate Independence Day. Some of the events I joined were the tug of war, the traditional kerupuk eating race, and the flag hoisting ceremony. These events were not only fun and entertaining but also filled with a sense of togetherness and patriotism. Being a part of them made me feel connected to my community and proud of my country.

2. Tell your friends about your participation in the events.
Answer:
Hey guys, I had such an unforgettable time during the Independence Day celebration this year, and I’d love to share my experience with you!

The day started early in the morning with the flag hoisting ceremony at the town field. I went there with my parents and little brother. 

As the red and white flag slowly rose into the sky and we all sang the national anthem together, I felt a deep sense of pride. It reminded me of how much our heroes had sacrificed for our freedom, and it made me realize how important it is to love and appreciate our country.

After that, the real fun began. My friends and I gathered at the neighborhood park where several traditional games and competitions were being held. 

The first event I joined was the kerupuk eating race. It looked easy at first just eat the hanging cracker without using your hands but trust me, it was much harder than it seemed! Every time I tried to take a bite, the cracker kept swinging away from my mouth. Everyone around was cheering and laughing, and although I didn’t win, I had so much fun trying.

Then came the most intense part of the day: the tug of war competition. Our team was made up of students from our class, and we were up against the team from the next class. We dug our heels into the ground, held the rope tightly, and pulled with all our strength. It was a real test of teamwork and determination.

 The rope slipped a few times and we almost fell, but in the end, we managed to pull the other team across the line. We won! We all shouted in joy, gave each other high-fives, and even took pictures with our prize.
